We live in a culture where we feel that in order to be worthy of love we must be perfect at everything, perfect at work, perfect at parenting, perfect at being a lover and have a perfect size 10 and a perfect house to show everyone how absolutely perfect we are!
THIS IS NOT REALISTIC – NOBODY IS PERFECT
However, we as women have this huge weight that we carry around with us all day every day trying to achieve this perfection. And it is negatively affecting our health and wellbeing, it is worth it? Is there another way?
The answer is yes! Because there simply has to be another way. Why? Because this is not sustainable for anyone.
As women, we make a decision that in order to be successful we have to do it all alone, “because nobody will do it the way I do it”. We are busy running around all day every day not even getting 30 minutes out of the entire 24 hours to ourselves. What do you think this is doing to us? It is causing stress and what does stress do, well it won’t take you long to look up the negative effects of stress on our bodies and on our mental health and the answers are unspeakable.
So I will ask you again, if something doesn’t change in your life in the next 3 years how will things look.
